VRED has two user interfaces:

VRED Professional Standard UI

VRED Professional Simple UI

User Interface Components

1 Menu Bar includes all main functions for creating and editing VRED content. It provides access to different modules available in VRED and enables basic file actions like saving and opening.

2 Icons Bar provides shortcuts to access common features like saving the scene or toggling ray tracing mode, or switching between the simple UI and the standard UI.

3 Scenegraph lists all nodes in the scene.

4 Render View displays the whole scene. It allows you to change the view as well as select and modify objects directly.

5 Quick Access Bar provides easy, fast access to main functions such as the Material Editor, Clip Maker, and Variants.

6 Status line provides information about memory usage. This feature allows you to change the up vector, near and far clip planes, and field of view. It also integrates the Terminal.

7 Object properties (simple UI) offers quick access to common properties of the selected object such as position, precalculated shadows, and normal settings which affects shading within OpenGL render view.
