Issue:

When assigning an item to an Inventor assembly in Vault, the row order is shown as zero.

Example:
 
 

Causes:

The Structured BOM View is disabled in Bill of Materials of the assembly in Inventor:
 

Solution:

Enable Structured in Bill of Materials:
  1. Open the assembly in Inventor.
  2. Execute "Assembly" tab > "Manage" > "Bill of Materials".
  3. Right-click "Structured" tab.
  4. Select "Enable BOM View".


The row order is now displayed correctly:
