You must log in using a unique user name and password assigned by the administrator. If an account has not been set up for you, contact your administrator.

Note: In Vault Professional, the administrator can also import a Windows Active Directory account. By using an Active Directory account, you can log in using your Windows account credentials.
  1. In the browser's address field, enter the URL for the thin client application.

For example, http://servername/AutodeskTC, where servername is either the IP address or the name of the computer hosting Autodesk Data Management Server. If you do not know the name of the server, consult your system administrator.

  2. On the sign in page, specify the type of account with which to log in. From the Authentication drop-down, select:
    • Vault Account to log in with an Autodesk Data Management Server account
    • Windows Account if your server is configured to use Active Directory.
  3. Enter the user name and password for the Autodesk Data Managment Server account assigned to you by your system administrator. If you are using Windows Authentication, the account information is automatically filled in and cannot be edited.
  4. In the Server box, enter the name of the Autodesk Data Management Server to which you want to connect.
  5. In the Vault box, enter the name of the database that you want to connect to, or click Browse and then select the vault from the Vaults dialog box, and then click OK.
  6. By default, you are restricted to read-only access in the vault. Clear the Read Only Access check box to check in non-CAD files using a Vault Office license.
  7. Note: A Vault Office license is required for read-write access through the thin client.
  8. Click Sign In.
