Welcome

Autodesk® Structural Bridge Design is a full suite of design section, design beam and structural analysis modules integrated into one product. It provides an extremely powerful tool for the analysis and design of bridge structures using line beam, grillage, frame analysis and finite element techniques.

There are four main components to the "Structural Bridge Design" method of design and analysis:

The design process may involve iterations between the design and structural components, with data passing from one to another. This iterative approach allows for refinement and optimization of the design based on the results of structural analysis.

Data preparation is as intuitive as possible, and primarily graphical. To start using the program, become familiar with the Basic Principles of Data Entry, and follow the guidance in Data Preparation Overview topics for Materials, Section, Beam or Structure.

The software offers design tools for bridge engineers involved in designing and analyzing both steel and concrete bridges according to various international bridge design codes. These codes include British Standards (BS 5400, CS 454), American Standards (AASHTO LRFD), the Australian Bridge Design Code (AS 5100, AUSTROADS) and Eurocodes (EN 1990, 1991, 1992, etc.).
