Do you want to set the background color of your canvas? It’s a snap in SketchBook!

The color of the background can be used to compliment the main color in your sketch. If you are looking for a way to make the subject “pop”, the background layer can help. By reducing color saturation, the background won’t compete with for attention. If the color too intense, the background will overpower things.

Do you like to start with the darkest elements and build up to the highlights? By setting a dark background, can help you.

Keep in mind, at any time, you can change the color of the background. If you are looking for how to remove the background, especially when exporting a file, see How to create an alpha channel.
