Autodesk Transport Layer Security Updates Require a Security Fix for Revit 2018

To align with industry best practices for security and data integrity, Autodesk Identity Services and Revit Cloud Models Services, will move to Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 and stop supporting TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 on August 3, 2019. Action may be required to update your software to maintain access to certain product functionality or features. To maintain connectivity, follow the instructions below. If your software is affected and is not updated, connectivity issues may occur as of August 3, 2019.

For subscription users, the update to allow the following feature functionality to be utilized is available in the Revit 2018.3.3 Security Fix. (The Revit 2018.0.3 Security Fix is available for non-subscription users.)

  • Revit Cloud Worksharing
  • Personal Accelerator (PAC) for Revit Cloud Worksharing
  • Communicator
  • P&ID Modeler
  • Dynamo Package upload / search

This Security Fix applies the following updates:

  • Revit 2018.3.3 Security Fix – version 18.3.3.18
  • Collaboration for Revit 2018.3.3 Security Fix – version 18.3.3.18
  • Revit Personal Accelerator Security Fix for Windows 7/8/8.1 (.Net 4.5.2) – version 20.0.9.0

Please install the hotfix from one of the locations below, and then restart Revit to utilize the functionality.

Important Notes

  • Refer to the Revit 2018.3.3 Security Fix readme and release notes for more information regarding this hotfix.
  • Personal Accelerator for Revit is an application which is critical for the performance of the Revit Cloud Worksharing and Cloud Models for Revit functionality and serves all versions of Revit (2015-2020) on a single workstation. Revit Personal Accelerator Security Fix for Windows 7/8/8.1 (.Net 4.5.2) is intended to be applied on any Windows Operating Systems which do not support .Net 4.7. After this security fix is applied successfully, the build number specified within Windows>Programs and Features for the Personal Accelerator for Revit application will be 20.0.9.0.
  • If your Windows Operating System supports .Net 4.7 you can additionally install Revit Personal Accelerator Security Fix for Windows 10 (.Net 4.7).
