What

Export Revit content as an SAT file. SAT is the file format for (ACIS), a solid modeling technology supported by CAD applications.

Who

Most designers working in the Revit environment: usually drafters, technologists, and technical designers.  

How 

In Revit, perform these steps:

  1. From the File tab, go to Export > CAD Formats > Select ACIS (SAT).
  2. Select a view to export.
  3. Isolate or embed elements within an environment.
  4. Navigate to the target folder for the exported files and export to SAT.

Why

The ability to export to different file formats allows designers to readily share the latest information to other team members and external companies.
