Structural Precast

The precast tools provide a simple, user-friendly working environment for creating 3D structural models from which shop drawings and CAM files are created.

Using the tools in the Precast ribbon tab you set-up rules for segmentation, reinforcement, shop drawings and CAM files, which are then used to automatically drive each stage.

The Revit model forms the basis of the 3D construction. Complex assemblies are created using Precast tools (such as split or reinforcement). First, divide walls and slabs into manufacturable parts and assemblies. Automatically reinforce and fit divided elements with connectors, lifters and bushings. Once complete, automatically create shop drawings for both walls and slabs, using a large selection of view production tools, dimensions, locations, symbols and automatic layout functions. You can also generate CAM files using the configured parameters.

Important: There is currently a known issue: If you install Revit LT after Revit, Precast will be unable to find the Revit content libraries. You can fix this by using the [...] (Data folder location) button in the Configuration dialog to specify the correct location for the content libraries.
