Use the Collaboration for Revit (C4R) service to concurrently author Revit model(s) in the cloud with other project team members.
If you are connected to the Internet, you can collaborate on a model stored within a project in the cloud. When you initiate Collaboration from Revit, worksharing is automatically enabled, the Revit model is uploaded to the project, and a locally-cached version is created on your computer.
If you use Collaboration for Revit to collaborate on a Revit model that was previously workshared, the same process described above is followed, except that worksets are already enabled.
If you are not connected to the Internet, you can collaborate on a model within your local area network using server-based worksharing.

- To collaborate on a non-workshared model from
Revit in the cloud:
- Open the non-workshared model or create a new model in Revit.
- Click Collaborate tab
Manage Collaboration panel
Collaborate.
- In the Collaborate dialog, select Collaborate using the cloud and click OK.
- If prompted, sign in with your Autodesk ID and password or click the link "Need an Autodesk ID?" to create an Autodesk ID. When you sign in, be sure to use the same Autodesk ID and password that you used when you signed in to
Revit.
Note: After you sign in, your Revit username is changed to match your Autodesk ID.
- In the Collaboration in Cloud dialog, if desired, rename the model.
- Select a cloud project in which to store your Revit model and click OK.
- In the Collaboration in Cloud dialog, click Initiate. Revit displays information about the status of the initiation process.
- Click Close to continue.
- To collaborate on a workshared model from
Revit in the cloud:
- Open the workshared model in Revit.
- Click Collaborate tabManage Collaboration panel
Collaborate in Cloud.
- In the Collaboration in Cloud dialog, if desired, rename the model.
- Select a cloud project in which to store your Revit model and click OK.
- In the Collaboration in Cloud dialog, click Initiate. Revit displays information about the status of the initiation process.
- Click Close to continue.
Links in the Revit model can be local links or cloud links. If you initiated collaboration on a model that includes cloud links, you should migrate the linked models to the cloud. See Migrate Linked Models.
