To add flexistock to a part manually

  1. Choose the Subtractive mode.
  2. On the Main toolbar, click DFM.
  3. In the Design For Manufacture panel, click Flexistock.
  4. Use the Flexistock tool:
    • Workplane — This list contains the workplanes specified for the selected part. Select a workplane in the list to create the flexistock on that workplane. Select None to create the flexistock by clicking a location in the Graphics window.
    • Sketch a curve using the mouse — Click this button to sketch a flexistock on the part, then:
      1. Click points on the part to specify the nodes the curve.
      2. Click the start point again to complete the curve.
    • Edit a curve using the mouse — Select a curve and click this button to edit an existing curve.
    • Offset — Enter the amount to offset the selected curve.
    • Make all undocked stock sections planar — Select this option to flatten curves onto a plane.
    • Reverse the stock direction — Click this button to create the stock in the opposite direction.
    • Straighten the current stock — Click this button to straighten the selected stock.
    • Move, rotate or scale the stock — Click this button to show controls in the Graphics window. Drag a green control point to scale the stock, or drag the yellow wireframe to move or rotate the stock.
    • Preview Boolean — Click this button to test whether the flexistock can be exported with the model as a single entity.
    • Hollow — By default, the flexistock is solid. To create a hollow flexistock, select this option, and enter the Wall thickness of the flexistock.
    • Length — For straight stock segments, enter the length of the stock.
    • Delete the current stock — Click this button to delete the selected flexistock.
