Mark up and annotate your work in 3D with new Blue Pencil drawing tools.
Blue Pencil lets artists and animators create 2D drawings and annotations in the viewport. Replacing the earlier Grease Pencil tools,
Blue Pencil offers more features and flexibility, including more drawing tools for text and shapes, as well as functionality like layers, retiming, and transformation. It's great for pre-production animation blocking or annotating a scene file with notes and suggestions.
To use Blue Pencil to draw in the Viewport, do one of the following:
- Click the
Blue Pencil icon
in the
Panel toolbar.
- Select from the Animation menu set (F4).
The
Blue Pencil Toolbar displays above the Panel toolbar, under the
Shelf.
The Blue Pencil toolbar appears below the Shelf
