Navigate the Viewport without the Viewcube

The Maya Viewcube is not available in Maya 2018 and later.

If you need a quick way to switch views in the Viewport without the Viewcube, create a tear-off menu of the View Along Axis menu:

1. In the Maya Panel Menus, select View > View Along Axis.
2. Double-click the two dotted lines at the top of the menu to tear it off so that it becomes a separate window.

3. Position the View Along Axis menu where you'd like, and click the axis you would like to view.
