Issue:

Older versions of Inventor (2015 or older such as 2008 or 2009) crash during launch or normal operation on Windows 10.

Environment:

Windows 10

Causes:

Inventor 2015 and older versions were not developed to work on modern operating systems such as Windows 10. There may be instances where the software runs and operates normally, however instability and crashes are to be expected.

Solution:

Make sure to install Inventor on supported operating systems. See System requirements for Autodesk Inventor products.
