Rendering Options Reference

Provides options for saving a rendered image to the JPEG format.

Access:

In the Render Image, View Last Image, or Render Animation dialog box, save an image to the desired image format. Available formats are BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, and TIFF.

Image formats with options are: BMP, JPG, PNG, and TIFF.

BMP Format Options

Resolution Specifies the image resolution in dots per inch. Default value is 96 dpi.

JPG Format Options

Resolution Specifies the image resolution in dots per inch. Default value is 96 dpi.

Quality

Sets the level of compression for JPEG images with a slider or an entry in an edit box. The range of values is from 0 to 100. 0 = highest compression and lowest quality. 100 = lowest compression and highest quality.

PNG Format Options

Resolution Specifies the image resolution in dots per inch. Default value is 96 dpi.

Alpha Channel

Sets the image background to transparent for the graphic output. This expedites the process of the model image to be easily composited with another image.

Note: To output an image with a transparent background, for compositing with another image, the PNG with alpha channel must be selected in the Save Options dialog box before rendering.

TIFF Format Options
