To Generate Reports and Import Export Data

Generate Reports

Before you generate a report or export the data, you should review the results to determine if the analysis meets your requirements. Before you create the snapshot image, you should arrange the dimensions, rotate the view, and adjust the zoom in the display to show the detail that you want to include in the report.

When you are finished, do the following in the Report panel:
  • Click Take Snapshot to save the image.

Tolerance Analysis uses this image in all reports until you replace it with a new snapshot.

Note: You can create a unique snapshot for each stackup. To save a snapshot for the top-level assembly that shows the nominal value of all stackups, activate the Summary table before you take a snapshot.
  • Click Show Snapshot to view the current snapshot.
  • Click Generate Report to create a report.

Browse to the location you want to save the report files, and then click Save in the dialog box. A folder is created in the specified location containing an .html document and PNG images for the results. The HTML file displays after you save the report.

Import and Export Tolerance Data

By default, Tolerance Analysis saves the stackup data in the model file. The data is automatically loaded the next time you open the model in the Tolerance Analysis environment. You can also use the following workflow to save and manage different tolerance and dimensioning schemes.

Click Export in the Data panel to save the data to an XML-formatted file with an ITOL filename extension.

Click Import to load the ITOL data.
