Each Autodesk product is installed with a default language. A language pack is a mechanism used by some Autodesk products to provide another language for the user interface and the documentation. Each language pack contains only the text strings and documents required to support a user working in the specified language; it does not duplicate the core product software.
Installing Language Packs
Language packs are about 300 MB in size, so they can be installed and uninstalled quickly. A single installed product can support several languages, enabling users to switch from one to another when required.
Each language pack includes an installer that can either install the language pack in the local product directory, or create a deployment for distributing the language pack to multiple users.
Installing Language Packs for Autodesk Inventor and LT
Language Packs for Autodesk Inventor and LT are not on the product media. Language Pack installers are available for download from the Inventor help menu:

Each language pack creates a shortcut in the Start menu with the language appended to the product name.

You can click this shortcut to start the product in the specified language. You can also drag this shortcut onto the desktop to create a desktop icon.
