Troubleshoot startup and network issues with Autodesk products using Fiddler

Fusion 360, BIM 360, Process Analysis 360 all require to connect to various websites to work properly. The connection might be needed on startup or during the usage of the product.

It happens often that a request to specific domains is systematically blocked. Or the company uses a Proxy that require Authentication, and our application is making requests in an anonymous manner, so the request are blocked. That results in a software that is not starting, or does not work properly.

Fiddler is a very useful tool from Telerik to help understanding and troubleshooting communication issues for our Autodesk products.

In the screencasts here, I am showing how to use fiddler to diagnose the network communications and find errors. I recommend to play the videos in full screen so you can see the text.
