Extruding text changes font shape in Fusion

Issue:

Extruding text in Fusion the extrusion appears in a different font than the text in the sketch.
  • When using non-Latin text like Chinese characters or Arabic letters extrusion appears different from text.
  • Calligraphy-like fonts appear blockier when they are extruded. 
  • Text written in capital letters is extruded in lower case letters. 

Solution:

To successfully extrude text in Fusion, perform the following steps: 
  1. Go into the sketch by right clicking the sketch in the browser list or in the timeline and selecting "Edit sketch."
  2. Right click the text and select Explode Text.
  3. Exit the sketch and redo the extrusion; the font should match now.
