Issue:

Cannot select lines / edges to Offset in a Fusion sketch.

Causes:

  • There are no sketch lines to offset.
  • The desired sketch lines to offset are in a different sketch.
  • Trying to offset surface or solid body edges instead of sketch entities.
  • Trying to offset a 3D sketch.
  • Sketch elements have been moved from the original sketch plane

Solution:

To make a selection with the offset command, ensure the selection is valid:

  • Ensure the selection is a sketch element and not a solid / surface.
  • Ensure the selection is on the original sketch plane (if in a 3D Sketch).
  • Ensure the selection exists in the active sketch. To confirm, hide all other sketches except for the active sketch.
  • If that is an imported .svg sketch then check for any open loops.

Project any surface / solid body edges, 3D sketch elements, or elements in other sketches using the Project command (Sketch > Create > Project/Include > Project) before attempting to use the Offset command.
