Why did Autodesk make these changes?

In October 2011, Autodesk acquired Micro Application Packages Ltd, a UK-based provider of CAD, CAM, and estimating software that supports fabrication and construction for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) industry.

Since the acquisition, we have significantly consolidated the product offering to provide additional productivity and improve customer workflows. Providing access to Fabrication Tracker, Fabrication RemoteEntry, and Fabrication CAMduct Components as part of a Fabrication CAMduct continues to simplify the portfolio and make it easier for you to make the most of your software.

Who is entitled to this?

Any customer who receives the Fabrication CAMduct product, which contains the option to install Fabrication Tracker, Fabrication RemoteEntry, and Fabrication CAMduct Components.

What happens to my existing licenses of Fabrication CAMduct Components, Fabrication Tracker, and Fabrication RemoteEntry?

Existing licenses will continue to work, but they are no longer supported as separate products after any current Subscription contract on them expires. To receive continued support, you need an active Fabrication CAMduct Subscription.

Is support for Fabrication CAMduct Components, Fabrication Tracker, and Fabrication RemoteEntry now included with Fabrication CAMduct support?

Yes.

Do I need to purchase a license of Fabrication CAMduct for every machine I want to install Fabrication CAMduct Components, Fabrication Tracker, or Fabrication RemoteEntry on?

No. You are allowed to install Fabrication Tracker, Fabrication RemoteEntry, and Fabrication CAMduct Components on as many systems within your company as you like, as long as you abide by each product’s respective EULA (end user license agreement).

Who can I talk to for more information?

Maintenance Subscription and Desktop Subscription customers can submit a web support case through Autodesk Account. You can also contact your Autodesk sales representative or Authorized Autodesk Reseller.
