How to purge unused Civil 3D styles from a drawing file

Issue:

You have multiple unused styles in a Civil 3D drawing file that you would like to purge from the drawing.

Solution:

In Civil 3D 2013 and newer, there is a Purge Styles routine that will allow the removal of any unused styles from a drawing file.

Use the following methods to run this routine:

  1. On the Civil 3D ribbon, choose the Manage tab.
  2. Then on the Styles panel, choose the Purge button.
  3. Select desired styles and click on OK button

Alternatively in the command line, enter PURGESTYLES.
