How Do I Access Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D?

To use Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D for collaborating on your Civil 3D projects in BIM 360, you'll need to have:

To enable access to Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D

  1. Go to accounts.autodesk.com, and sign in to your Autodesk account.
  2. In the left pane, click User Management.
  3. In the right pane, select a user and click Edit Access.
  4. In the Edit Access dialog box, under Products & Services, select the Assign check box for BIM 360 Design.
  5. Click next to BIM 360 Design to show the available services, and select the Assign check box for Collaboration for Civil 3D.
  6. Click Save.

To set up to use Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D

To get started using Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D, you'll need to perform some setup tasks.

  1. Install Autodesk Civil 3D.
  2. Install Desktop Connector and set up the connected drive for BIM 360.
  3. Start Autodesk Civil 3D and click the BIM 360 page of the Start tab.
  4. Use the account and project switcher to select the BIM 360 project you want to use.
  5. You can now open documents from BIM 360, save documents to BIM 360, and upload documents to BIM 360 using your connected drive.
Note: Before you can use BIM 360 with Civil 3D, Autodesk Desktop Connector must be running. When Desktop Connector is running, a small white 'A' will appear in your Windows system tray: . When Desktop Connector is installed, it will be added to your Windows startup programs list. That means it should start automatically every time you start Windows. If you need to start Desktop Connector manually, you can select Autodesk Autodesk Desktop Connector on the Windows Start menu.
