Projection and Crossing Output Display Options Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to configure settings for each object type that you are projecting to multiple section views.

Note: You can access this dialog box from the Project Objects To Multiple Section Views dialog box.
Object Type
Lists each object in the object type that is in the selection set to be projected.
Draw Crossings
Specifies whether a marker is added to the section view to indicate where an object crosses a sample line. If a selected object does not actually cross the sample line, or is not within the specified crossing tolerance value, a crossing is not drawn on the section view.
Crossing Marker Style

Specifies the crossing marker style. Click <set all> for a category to specify the style for all objects of the category.

Note: When you project AutoCAD solids to section views, and choose to display crossings, the solid can be drawn so that it represents the actual position of where the sample line crosses the solid. To display this type of crossing for a solid, select <Section> as the crossing marker style. You can control the appearance of 3D solid crossings that use the <Section> style option by modifying the properties of the 3D solid layer.
Crossing Label Style
Specifies the crossing label style. Click <set all> for a category to specify the label style for all objects of the category.

Crossing label styles are specific to section views and can be found in the Section View Label Styles Crossing collection on the Settings tab in Toolspace.

Draw Projections

Specifies whether projections are added to the section views.

Note: 3D polylines, feature lines, and survey figures can be displayed as crossings, but not as projections. The Draw Projections, Projection Style, and Projection Label Style columns in the dialog box are grayed out for these object types.

  • Use Object: The elevation is read from the object properties.

  • Manual: The object is set to the elevation specified in the Elevation Value column.
  • <set all>: Used at the category level to specify the elevation option for all projected objects in the category.
