1. What is happening to my Autodesk® BIM 360® Team subscription?
As of April 9, 2018, Autodesk® will no longer offer new subscriptions to BIM 360® Team. BIM 360 Team subscribers can continue to use BIM 360 Team with uninterrupted access to your services and projects for as long as you renew.
In addition, beginning on April 9, 2018, BIM 360 Team subscribers will have access document management functionality on the new BIM 360 platform, and the option start new projects on the platform. This is included in your BIM 360 Team subscription at no additional cost, and you will have access to it for as long as you renew.
2. Why is this happening?
Autodesk is converging its AEC project delivery and construction management solutions into one cloud platform: BIM 360. The new platform supports data and document management from design to construction. If you are a BIM 360 Team subscriber, starting April 9, 2018, you’ll have access to document management functionality on the new BIM 360 platform.
3. What is the new BIM 360 platform?
BIM 360 is Autodesk’s cloud platform for AEC project delivery and construction management that supports informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle, helping to lead to more predictable and profitable outcomes. It does this by centralizing all project data in a common data platform and connecting project stakeholders and workflows – from design to construction to operations, from the field to the office and back – in a single solution.
4. Will I be charged extra for access to the new BIM 360 platform?
Access to document management functionality on the new BIM 360 platform is included in your current BIM 360 Team subscription, at no extra cost. You can continue to use your current BIM 360 Team subscription—and enjoy uninterrupted access to your services and projects—for as long as you renew.
5. Activating access to the new platform
5.1 What do I need to do today? How do I activate access to the new platform?
On or shortly after April 9, 2018, BIM 360 Team Contract Managers will be able to activate their new BIM 360 platform via Autodesk Accounts and will also receive an e-mail with a link to activate access.
What you need to do to activate your new platform access depends on if you subscribe to BIM 360 Team only, or also subscribe to another BIM 360 product or Collaboration for Revit. See actions based on your need below.
