Remove Autodesk Licensing Information

If you are having licensing issues, it may be necessary to remove the licensing storage file in order for the program to recognize your new serial number. To remove the Trusted Storage file (Licensing) located in these areas:

On Windows 10:

  • C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data
  • C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data.backup

On Vista or Windows 7/8:

  • C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data
  • C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data.backup

On Windows XP:

  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data.backup

Delete any residual Program Files from these locations:

  • C:\Program Files\Autodesk\
  • C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\
  • C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\
  • C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\
  • C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Local\Autodesk\

The program folders should be clearly named.

  • Clean out your TEMP files:

    1. Click the Windows Start button.
    2. In the Run box type %TEMP% and press Enter
    3. Highlight and delete all files. Ignore any files in use.

On Mac:

  • Navigate to the folder /Library/Preferences/Flexnet Publisher/FLEXnet and delete the files prefixed with adskflex.User-added image
  • Navigate to the folder /Library/Application Support and delete the Flexnet Publisher folder.
  • Note: Only do this if you do not have Adobe products installed on your Mac. Adobe products also use FlexNet and deleting this folder could be problematic for those products still installed.User-added image
