When trying to install AutoCAD, you receive a message that AutoCAD is already installed on you computer, however you cannot find it on your computer. As your computer thinks AutoCAD is already installed, you cannot complete aa new install. This symbolizes that there is a registry error on your computer.
On Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10:
The Microsoft Fix It Solution Center can automatically solve uninstall issues and works with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
- Visit Microsoft Support at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed
- Click the Run Now button under "Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled."
- Click the Run button when your browser asks if you want to run the installer.
- Click Yes if User Account Control asks for authorization to make changes.
- Click Accept in the Fix It pop-up window to complete installation.
- Select Detect problems and apply fixes for me from the dialog box when Fix It starts.
- Select Uninstalling when prompted for the type of help you need.
- Select the program you wish to uninstall from the list and click the Next button.
