Install error: 1303

Issue:

User is re-installing AutoCAD and is getting a 1303 error.

Causes:

installation corruption
User Profile corruption

Solution:

  1. Reboot the machine and try the installation again
  2. Uninstall the program using the MSfixit tool and try to install again

  1. Empty your TEMP directory and install
  2. Turn off UAC
    1. Access User Control Panel from. Start Menu. Control Panel. User Accounts and Family Safety. User Account.
    2. Click on User Account Control settings link.
    3. Move the Slider to Never Notify.
    4. Click OK to make the change effective.
    5. Reboot.
  3. Delete the residual traces of the program from the system and try to install. Folders should be clearly named and located in these places:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\
C:\Users\All Users\
C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\
C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Local\Autodesk\

Note: Error 1303 can also be caused by Google Drive "error 1303 "the installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory C:\Users\mpeck\Google Drive\Inventor Lt. The installation cannot continue."  In this case you need to disconnect the drive from your computer or create a new Windows administrator user  account and install your Autodesk software from your new admin account.
         
If the above doesn't work, Create a new user profile and install. User Profile Corruption.
