AutoCAD Mechanical 2018 installation failure on CheckForRunningTasks

Issue:

You were installing AutoCAD Mechanical 2018 using Install Now method when your system crashed, and since then AutoCAD Mechanical 2018 installation fails at the stage of AutoCAD core installation.

Autodesk AutoCAD 2018 core install log indicates installation failure point on CheckForRunningTasks custom action:

Solution:

To resolve the issue you can use Orca to  edit acad.msi file, you need to find CustomAction  section and drop CheckForRunningTasks in  
C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_Mechanical_2018_English_Win_64bit_dlm\x64\acad\acad.msi file.

Note: please back up original acad.msi file before editing it.
