Error: "AutoCAD Installation Detected" when attempting to install AutoCAD for Mac

Issue:

At AutoCAD for Mac 2019 installation time, following error appears.

AutoCAD Installation Detected
Your system already has a copy of AutoCAD installed.
Please uninstall the existing AutoCAD to continue installation.

AutoCAD installation Detected

Causes:

  • Residual AutoCAD installation content.
  • AutoCAD 2019 installation folder was manually copied from one computer to another, or from backup media.

Solution:

  1. Go to Applications > Autodesk > AutoCAD 2019.
  2. Double click Remove AutoCAD 2019.
  3. After uninstalling AutoCAD, relaunch ACAD installation.

If the preceding doesn't help, do a clean uninstall of AutoCAD for Mac and then proceed with AutoCAD for Mac 2019 installation.
