Issue:

Object projection of a block to a profile view do not respect the insertion point in Civil 3D 2015

Opening the same drawing in C3D 2014 and C3D 2015 will produce slightly different results.

Causes:

Known Issue, block is now using centroid instead of insertion point.

Solution:

Possible Workaround:
  1. Edit block and draw a circle from the blocks insertion point.
  2. Make the circle encompass the entire desired block.
  3. In the Block Authoring Palettes, Insert a "Visibility" parameter within the circle.
  4. In the Block editor ribbon, click the "Make Invisible" button located within the visibility panel.
  5. Select the circle to make invisible.
  6. Save the block and exit out of the editor.
  7. Edit block projection style, set object display to AutoCAD Block and select the desired block.
