  • Chamfer depth can now be set on a per-edge basis.
  • Radius Bias blends the chamfer size to the radius amount to help handle sharp corners.
  • Edge Weight and Edge Depth are now available as inputs and outputs in the Data Channel modifier.

Enhancements and Changes

Autocomplete for MAXScript Autocomplete is now on by default in the MAXScript editor. The new generateAPIList<stringstream> MAXScript API makes it easier for users to enable autocomplete for MAXScript in 3rd party editors.
Command Panel The Command Panel now responds at least 70% faster when switching between Editable Poly modes (face, edge, and vertex).
Double-click selection You can now double-click to select all contiguous faces, vertices, segments, etc. when working with Editable Poly, Editable Spline, EditSpline and EditPoly modifiers, as well as with Unwrap UVW in both the IV Editor and 3d viewports. Double-click selection support includes modifier hotkeys to add/subtract selection and works in Maya Interaction mode.
Note: Double-clicking edges remains unchanged, edge rings will still be selected.
Standardized file extensions The case of file extensions has been standardized to always be lower case when saving a scene or script, as well as when exporting data. The exception is when the file already exists, the existing case of the name and extension will be preserved.
