In our continuing efforts to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released Update 4 for Inventor 2014 Service Pack 2 which addresses multiple issues (see Description below). This Update is cumulative, previous Updates are not prerequisites.

This document contains the latest information regarding the installation and use of this update. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before you apply the update to your product. For reference, you should save this document to your hard drive or print a copy.

Update 1:

• 1516-074: Surface component not visible in drawing view

• 1356-879: ACAD DWG with 3D entities with units in meters will be imported into Inventor in millimeters

• 1516-370: iFeature does not update correctly when the reference sketch changes

• 1517-578: Parameters in dependant copied iFeature do not update correctly editing the base iFeature

• 1518-417: Import Parameters functionality does not update all the parameters as expected

• 1420-905: Incorrect Master Mass is calculated when generating Shrinkwrap

• 1515-962: Corner not detected on sheetmetal flange created with thicken command

• 1514-506: Poor graphics performance with custom DPI size

• 1516-669: Stress Analysis – Unable to select face for FEA loads and constraints

• 1518-676: Stress Analysis - Load directions based on existing faces are incorrect and cannot be changed

• 1518-703: The model displays too brightly after migrating the customized lighting styles to the Inventor default styles

• 1517-471: Moment of Inertia is calculated to negative value if modifying the Mass value manually

• 1518-347: Feature creation becomes unresponsive after open and close component multiple times during a single Inventor session

• 1518-402: Drawing section view becomes corrupt after update

• 30303: Random triangles display in drawing

• 27730: Unexpected exit when replacing component

• 27741: Unexpected exit when try to break a link with base component which has surface body

• 1480-754: Embed Decals are omitted during visualization file generation via Update View and/or Job Server

Update 4:

• 35518: API Run-Time error at Occurrences.Add

• 27717: Physical iProperties are not calculated for large models containing rectangular pattern

• 39685: Physical iProperties are not calculated depending on End Of Part marker placement

• 41234: No view lines on Vault created dwfs

• 28743: Elements of the drawing get lost when batch generating visualization files with Vault Job Processor

• 41918: No results for Automatic Contact or Mesh when creating stress analysis

For application of this update, your system must have Inventor from one of the following products installed:

This update is available in 32bit and 64bit versions and is only applicable to Autodesk Inventor 2014 Service Pack 2. If you do not have Service Pack 2 please download and install prior to installing this Update. For installation on Windows 8.1 OS please read Technical Solution TS22238097. Once installed, it will appear as an update under Add/Remove Programs and can be uninstalled from there.

1. Update your operating system before you install this Autodesk Inventor 2014 Service Pack 2 Update. Reboot your system after the updates are installed.
2. Download the appropriate version of the Update; either the 32-bit or 64-bit version depending upon your operating system bit type.
3. Double click the .msp file downloaded in step 2 to install this update on each system running Autodesk Inventor 2014 Service Pack 2.
4. Choose Next to begin the install...
5. Once finished you'll receive the Autodesk Inventor 2014 Setup dialog box stating that the update has been successfully applied.
6. Click Finish to complete the installation and exit the dialog box.
