Thank you for installing AutoCAD^®/AutoCAD LT for Mac^® version 2016.5

The 2016.5 version fixed compatibility issues with macOS High Sierra. This version includes both a full installer and a patch. You may choose either one to upgrade to the 2016.5 version. Please read the entire document before you install the product. For reference, please save this document to your hard drive or print a copy.

Note: If you already have AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2016 installed before upgrading to High Sierra, you may choose the patch; if you don't have AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2016 installed on High Sierra yet, you may choose the full installer. Both the full installer and the patch are available on page https://knowledge.autodesk.com/download "Service Packs and Fixes" section.

Compatibility issues on High Sierra

• Installation is blocked on APFS on High Sierra.
• Select File dialog layout messed up.
• Welcomescreen window shows template files in random order.

1. Close all Autodesk applications before you begin to install.
2. Double-click Autodesk_AutoCAD_2016_Mac_OSX_R1.dmg(Autodesk_AutoCAD_LT_2016_Mac_OSX_R1.dmg) to mount the volume.
3. Double-click Install Autodesk AutoCAD 2016 for Mac.pkg(Install Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2016 for Mac.pkg) in the new mounted volume to run the installer.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
• Product key: AutoCAD: 777H1
• Product key: AutoCAD LT: 827H1
5. AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT is installed in the Applications > Autodesk > 'AutoCAD 2016'('AutoCAD LT 2016') folder.
6. The version can be checked in menu AutoCAD 2016(AutoCAD LT 2016) > select About AutoCAD(AutoCAD LT), you should see "2016.5 Update" label.

The patch of 2016.5 Update can be installed over all official versions of AutoCAD(AutoCAD LT) 2016 for Mac.

To install AutoCAD 2016 for Mac 2016.5 Update, do the following:

1. Close all Autodesk applications before you begin to install.
2. Double-click AutoCAD_2016.5_Update.dmg(AutoCAD_LT_2016.5_Update.dmg) to mount the volume.
3. Double-click AutoCAD_2016.5_Update.pkg(AutoCAD_LT_2016.5_Update.pkg) in the new mounted volume to run the installer.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. The version can be checked in menu AutoCAD 2016(AutoCAD LT 2016) > select About AutoCAD(AutoCAD LT), you should see "2016.5 Update" label.

1. Quit AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT for Mac.
2. In Finder, navigate to Applications > Autodesk > AutoCAD 2016 and double-click Remove AutoCAD 2016 app. For LT, navigate to Applications > Autodesk > AutoCAD LT 2016 and double-click Remove AutoCAD LT 2016 app.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
