Annotate (ESKD) tab

Inventor GOST is an add-in for Autodesk Inventor 2010. GOST standards are published by the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology of the Russian Federation. The standards serve the same purpose as ISO 9000 and cover many industries.

As related to Inventor 2010, GOST standards govern the symbols used in a drawing, title block appearance, and more. Inventor provides users with two templates that meet GOST standards (IDW, DWG). Load the ESKD Support add-in, and after you add or create your drawing, switch to the Annotate (ESKD) tab to add GOST-compliant features. The Annotate (ESKD) tab replaces the Annotate tab for GOST users.

What is ESKD?

ESKD is the Unified System of Design Documentation, a subset of the GOST standard. This system governs everything from font type and size to text placement on a page.

The GOST / ESKD Templates

Inventor comes with two GOST compliant drawing templates (IDW, DWG). The GOST templates come prepared with the appropriate title block, fonts, and other features required for compliance. Insert a base view in the template or you can draw a new part or assembly. You do have options for customization such as adding or removing title blocks, changing the arrowhead, and more.

Procedures

The ESKD templates and Annotate (ESKD) tab are used together to create GOST-compliant drawings in Inventor. After opening the template, insert a Base View or create a drawing.

First, load the ESKD Support add-in:
