Dynamoi for Civil 3D

Packages are created by users and can be shared locally with colleagues or with the world via the Dynamo Package Manager.  A package may contain a single node or a full library of nodes that you can use in your own Dynamo definitions. The best place to find packages is the Dynamo Package Manager, available from within Dynamo in the Packages Menu.

Choose “Search for a Package…” to browse through the available packages. Choose the option to install packages you would like to use from this menu, and the files will be downloaded and placed in the appropriate place on your hard drive so that Dynamo can access the new functionality. After installation, the packages will appear as a new library called something similar to the package name.

Simply give it a try and install the package Civil3DToolKit. The Civil3DToolKit is a massive update to the library of nodes, developed by Autodesk and gives access to a lot more Civil Objects (e.g. Terrain Surfaces, Pressure Pipes, Gravity Pipes) than supported in plain Dynamo for Civil 3D.

For example, you can build a script to extract solids between terrain surfaces or subsurfaces with the Toolkit. See the Video below and have a look at the script attached to the article.
