Co-terming Contracts

Autodesk Support

Jan 29, 2023

Co-terming is the adjusting of contracts so they can come up for renewal at the same time. There are many benefits of co-terming, including:

  • Easier to manage budget: No need to keep track of multiple renewal dates. Renew all contracts at a single point in time.
  • Lower operational costs: Spend less time renewing contracts and more time on the work that matters most.
  • Better overall experience: Co-terming contracts makes it easier to manage your Autodesk software.

Co-terming does not apply to Autodesk Flex.

Ways to co-term

There are different ways you can co-term multiple contracts, so they all renew at the same time:

  • Add seats and products to existing contracts anytime.
  • Extend one or more contracts to align with another contract so they all renew at the same time. At least one of the contracts being co-termed must be one of the following: a new subscription purchase, a Premium plan purchase, or within the 90-day renewal window. This option is available for maintenance and subscription contracts (annual or 3-year) and includes any associated add-ons.
  • Merge multiple contracts of the same type (maintenance or subscription), renewal date, and term length (annual or 3-year) at any time.
