"Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.DebugCRT'" during installation

Issue:

While installing the software, the following error message is displayed:

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.DebugCRT,version=9.0.30729.177",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b901e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86",type=2win32". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x800736B3.

Solution:

Try to follow the steps to solve the issue:

  1. Open Control Panel and uninstall all the Microsoft Visual C++ components.
  2. Download this utility and run it.
  3. Select Uninstall.
  4. Select the first Microsoft Visual C++ component from the list and click Next, follow the steps until process is complete.
  5. Restart the utility and repeat step 4 for each other entry that reads "Microsoft Visual C++" (the utility needs to be restarted after every uninstall attempt).
  6. Once all Visual C++ components are removed through the utility, reboot the system.
  7. Download the software from the Autodesk Account via Download Now method and then install it. If the software has already been downloaded via Download Now or Browser Download, run the install from the existing installation files.
