Definition of planes - inclined plane of a defined shape and inclination

You create an inclined plane of a determined shape and slope by transforming an indicated projection of the roof surface contour. It is defined for a selected (active) story. You can define successive roof surfaces on which elements of the roof will be defined.

To define this plane type (see the drawing below):

• Use the icons on the right to select a method of shape definition
• Determine the rotation axis (the edge of rotation of the plane)
• Specify a rotation angle.

Define the shape of the contour of an inclined plane:

• Click (Points) to indicate successive points belonging to the contour
• Click (Diagonal) to indicate the diagonal of the contour (rectangle)
• Click (Select) to indicate the contour (closed contour)
• Click (Internal point) to indicate an internal point of the contour (closed contour).

Using an inclined plane with a defined shape and slope, you can define multi-pitch roofs. Each roof surface needs to be defined separately. However, if the contour is symmetrical, only half of the roof surface needs to be defined.
