Network License Administration

We recommend that network administrators always update licensing servers with the most recent version of Network License Manager when it is released to avoid any licensing issues and ensure compatibility with current versions of other Autodesk software products.

Note: The latest installers for the Autodesk Network License Manager install both IPv4 and IPv6 versions of the NLM. If your network uses the IPv4 protocol, you should not have to make any other changes. If your network uses the IPv6 protocol, you may want to set the FNP_IP_PRIORITY environment variable to give priority to IPv6, which can improve performance and avoid unwanted IPv4 address resolution. Refer to the latest version of the FlexNet document, License Administration Guide for more information.
