Terms and Conditions
-
Autodesk software in an alternative media format may not be available for all products and releases.
-
Customers will only receive media applicable to the software that they own.
-
The Autodesk Subscription Terms and Conditions do not require Autodesk to supply customers with media containing previous versions of the software program, related documentation, additional authorization codes, hardware or software locks. If such items are required for previous versions, Autodesk reserves the right to charge a transaction fee for the issuance or re-issuance of such items.
-
Autodesk is not financially responsible for any taxes or duties associated with the delivery of media, such fees if incurred are to be paid by the customer.
Taxes, Duties, and Customs
Per the Terms and Conditions, Autodesk is not financially responsible for any taxes or duties associated with the delivery of media; such fees, if incurred, are to be paid by the customer. The consignee (the recipient of the goods) is considered the IOR (Importer of Record) and responsible for the destination charges, duties, and taxes.
Clearance and delivery with FedEx:
-
FedEx will issue an invoice to the consignee for duties and taxes. The consignee will only need to pay this amount and not the cost of the shipment.
-
Should the declared value of the shipment meet or exceed the export customs limits dictated by your country, the consignee may need to complete a Power of Attorney (POA) to allow FedEx to clear the package on your behalf.
-
More information can be found on www.fedex.com --> http://www.fedex.com/fr_english/shipping-services/customs-importers.html
The following link is for France, but the same rules apply worldwide: http://images.fedex.com/downloads/downloadcenter/learn/POA-FR.pdf
Note: The POA allows FedEx to manage the end-to-end process of clearing shipments from customs on the consignee’s behalf. FedEx will invoice the consignee only for the import taxes that are due, while charging Autodesk for the final delivery to the consignee address.
Clearance done by consignee broker:
If the consignee refuses to sign the POA and wants to involve his own broker instead of FedEx, then clearance is no longer Autodesk's responsibility.
