Where to Find Product Key and Serial Number
There are several places where you can find your Product Key and Serial Number for products downloaded through the Autodesk Education Community site.
- By email: You receive an email
containing your Product Key and Serial Number after you have signed
up for an Education account and download the
software.
Note: This email is sent to the email address used to register for the program. If you haven't received it within a few hours, check your spam folder. If necessary, add autodesk.education.community@autodesk.com to your email program's safe senders list.

On your product download page: After you have an Education account, your Product Key and Serial Number are displayed after you specify the Version, Language, and Operating System you need.

In Autodesk Account: After the software has been activated, on the Management tab in Autodesk Account, click the arrow to the left of the product.

Same Serial Number for Multiple Products
The same Serial Number is used to activate all products within a Suite. You will need a different Serial Number for any product that is not part of a Suite.
Different Product Key for Different Products
Product keys may be required for installation of Autodesk products and are used to differentiate products that are sold both independently or as part of an industry collection.
If you purchased your product as part of a Suite: The same product key is used to activate all products within the Suite. However, you need a different product key for any product that is not part of that Suite. You will get an activation error if you enter the wrong key.

Different Serial Numbers for Individual Educators versus Institutions
If you are an educator who also deploys software for your educational institution, but sure to set up a separate account for your school. Software you download for individual use starts with "900." Do not try to use this number to activate software deployed to multiple computers.

Installation on Multiple Computers
Each Educational serial number issued by Autodesk on or after September 1, 2015, for Educational Network licenses and Educational Multi-seat Stand-alone licenses provides the following rights:
- Each Educational Multi-seat Stand-alone serial number is for an Educational license authorizing installation on up to 1,250 devices.
- Each Educational Network serial number is for an Educational license authorizing access by up to 3,000 concurrent users.
The following information applies if you already had a serial number for 125 seats for an Educational Multi-seat Stand-alone or an Educational Network license:
- If you received one or more 125-seat serial numbers prior to September 1, 2015, this change will have no impact on the usage rights of software activated under those serial numbers by your educational institution.
- If you have one or more previously-issued Educational Network and Educational Multi-seat Stand-alone serial numbers for 125 seats each, you are still authorized for up to 125 seats.
