Users & Software Overview


Your Autodesk Account offers two different user management systems: the new view and the classic view. The view you have depends on where and when you purchased your products.

  • New View - Subscriptions purchased online are typically managed in the new view.
  • Classic View - Subscriptions and maintenance plans purchased through a reseller or Autodesk Sales, or before December 2016, are typically managed in the classic view.

Managing Users in Both the New View and the Classic View

If you have a mix of products purchased at different times from different locations, you may need to manage users in both the new and the classic view. If this is the case, and you want to assign the same user to both a new view and a classic view product, you will have to add them in both places. If you add a user in new view user management, that user will not automatically appear in classic user management (and vice versa).
