Seat Usage Reporting
Seat usage reporting* allows administrators to
monitor which users have activated their assigned products and the
frequency of use. This enables admins to optimize seat assignments
and strategize on future purchasing decisions. Seat usage reporting
is only available for products with single-user access and is not
available for products with multi-user access.

* Seat usage reporting is available for most Autodesk products, including AutoCAD, Inventor, Maya, Revit, and more, starting with version 2014. Currently, it is not available for cloud products, cloud services (including BIM and Fusion), and some desktop products. Reporting only measures the activity of users that are connected to the Internet.

Seat Usage Summary
The seat usage summary tracks the following for all products:
- Total users - When an assigned product is opened and used by someone on your team, they are counted in this list.
- Total products - The list of assigned products which users have used.
- Total seats – The total number of seats you have subscribed to for products with single-user access.
To view the seat usage summary:
- Sign in to Autodesk Account at manage.autodesk.com and click Reporting > Seat Usage.
- In the Seat Usage Summary report, select a time range from the
list - This month, Last 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, or 12
months.
For AutoCAD including specialized toolsets, Industry Collections, and Suites, click the name of the product group to see usage by individual products.
Detailed Usage by Product
Seat usage by product tracks the frequency of use by assigned users.
To view detailed usage by product:
- Sign in to Autodesk Account at manage.autodesk.com and click Reporting > Seat Usage.
- Select the By product tab.
- Select a time range from the list - This month, Last 3 months,
6 months, 9 months, or 12 months.
- Click Details to see usage data for a single product (for example, total seats versus users, the frequency of use, and users by version).
Not seeing the correct reporting data?
Reporting data may be inaccurate for the following reasons:
- If you switched from a maintenance plan to a subscription, seat usage reporting cannot accurately reflect activity until you complete the switch process. If you have not completed the switch process, see Move to a Subscription with Single-User Access.
- If you subscribe to an individual product and an Industry Collection that contains the same product on the same contract.
- Multiple users are accessing a product using the same user name and password. Make sure each user is assigned to a product in Autodesk Account and signs in using their own email and password. Export Data
To export seat usage data:
- Sign in to Autodesk Account at manage.autodesk.com and click Reporting > Seat Usage.
- On the Summary tab, click Export as CSV.
