Add Users in Classic User Management


In the classic view of Autodesk Account user management, administrators can add users individually, or in bulk. When added, the user receives a confirmation email explaining how to create an Autodesk Account with their own password. Through their Autodesk Account, users can download products, contact support, and track cloud credit usage.

Note: Do not use double-byte numbers in user names, they are not supported. See the article, DBCS, for more information.


Add Users (Procedure)

  1. Sign in to Autodesk Account at manage.autodesk.com and click User Management > Classic User Management.

    Note: If your screen looks different than the image below, you may be in the new view of user management. For more information see Add Users in Autodesk Account.

  2. Click the + Add button to display the Add Users window.

  3. Enter the user's email address, first name, and last name (all are required). The email address you enter will be the user's Autodesk ID that they use to create their own Autodesk Account.
  4. Select "I'd like to add access to the user(s) now" to manage access to products and benefits.

    Note: Added users can create an Autodesk Account, but will not have access to products and services until they are assigned access.
  5. Click Save & Continue.

    Note: If the user does not accept within 90 days, you will need to resend the invitation.

Add Users in Bulk

  1. Sign in to Autodesk Account at manage.autodesk.com and click User Management > Classic User Management. Only contract managers and software coordinators have access to user management.

    Note: If your screen looks different than the image below, you may be using the wrong user management tool. For more information see Add Users in Autodesk Account.

  2. Click Bulk Add.

  3. Enter a list of users separated by semicolon. A maximum of 50 users can be entered at one time.

    Note: Added users can create an Autodesk Account, but will not have access to products and services until they are assigned access.
  4. Check "I'd like to add access to the user(s) now" if you wish to manage user access to products and benefits.
  5. Click Save & Continue.

    Note: If a user does not accept the invitation within 90 days, you will need to resend the invite.
