Subscription with Multi-User Access
As of January 31, 2016, Autodesk stopped selling perpetual products with network license activation, it has been replaced by subscription products with multi-user access. Autodesk Subscription allows you to license desktop software on a "pay as you go", monthly or annual term basis. For more information, see the article, About Autodesk Subscription.
Unlike perpetual products, subscriptions expire at the end of the subscription contract and cannot be reactivated once they expire. To ensure uninterrupted access to your software and associated subscription benefits, you will need to renew subscription contracts prior to the expiration date and then update the license files. When a contract is renewed, you will receive license files with a new expiration date.
Generating and Updating License Files
Subscriptions with multi-user access and perpetual network license files both support the use of Autodesk products for up to the maximum number of users or seats connected to the server network at a given time. The Network License Manager (NLM) utility manages both subscription and perpetual network licenses. To avoid losing access to licenses as a result of combining license files, have a new license file that includes all of the licenses you want to combine with the same time stamp. This new license file will have a single issue date for all product licenses, which prevents any of them from superceding earlier licenses.

Where to Purchase a Subscription with Multi-User Access
You can purchase a subscription with multi-user access from your Autodesk Authorized Reseller or directly from Autodesk. Unlike subscriptions with single-user access, subscriptions with multi-user access are not available through the Autodesk Online Store.
