About Autodesk Subscription
Autodesk subscription allows you to license Autodesk desktop software on a term basis to meet a variety of business needs and budget considerations. Annual and 3-year options offer cost savings for long-term software needs and monthly subscriptions are a short-term option for project-based work or hiring temporary staff.
How to Subscribe
- Autodesk Store—Visit https://www.autodesk.com/buy-online to view software titles available via subscription. Click on a product to see prices for monthly, annual, and 3-year subscriptions with single-user access.
- Autodesk Resellers—Visit http://www.autodesk.com/resellers to find an Authorized Autodesk Reseller near you and explore additional subscription term options and purchase subscriptions with multi-user access (network licenses).
Subscription Licensing Options
Both multi-user (network) and single-user access licenses are available. Single-user licenses can be purchased from the Autodesk store. Multi-user licenses can be purchased from your Authorized Autodesk Reseller.
Internet Connection Requirements
For most of our desktop products on subscription, you don't need to be online to use your software. The software runs on your computer, not on the web. An internet connection is needed initially to install and activate your software.
- Subscription with single-user access—Users must connect to the internet every 30 days and sign in to keep software up-to-date and verify that your subscription is still current (users will receive a reminder 7 days prior).
- Subscription with multi-user access—Because licenses are assigned by the network license server, an internet connection is not required for activation.
- Cloud-based products and cloud services—Some of our software products also give you access to certain cloud services that are not installed on your computer. These may include optional services such as cloud rendering, collaboration tools, and secure storage. We also offer certain products that are available only as a cloud service. Cloud-based products require an internet connection.
Term Length and Renewal
Some subscription term lengths are only available from Resellers or your Autodesk sales representative and do not renew automatically. You will receive renewal notifications 90, 45, 30, and 4 days prior to expiration with renewal instructions. Subscriptions purchased from the Autodesk store renew automatically.
Note: Only 1-year subscriptions are available when paying by wire transfer or Konbini.

Subscription Benefits
Subscription customers receive benefits such as access to the latest software and product enhancements, web and phone support, licensing rights such as Previous Version, Global Travel Rights, and Home Use Rights, and depending on the suite or product, access to select cloud services. Subscription Cancellation
For subscriptions purchased from the Autodesk store, you can end your subscription contract on the contract renewal date listed in your Autodesk Account by changing your automatic renewal settings. See Cancel a Subscription for instructions. - Cloud storage access—Cloud storage continues until the end of the billing cycle. After the subscription contract ends, all documents stored in the cloud remain available for 30 more days. Your account will revert to the free 5 GB of cloud storage 30 days after your subscription expires. Any saved files exceeding the 5 GB storage limit may become inaccessible.
- Project file access—If your subscription has expired, you can continue to access and view existing designs and files. However, you still need active software to edit or add information to the files. See Accessing Files after a Subscription Ends for information about free file viewers.
