Students and Educators need to understand the licenses and terms associated with their free access to Autodesk Software.


Education Licenses and Terms

License and Services Agreement (LSA)

The License and Services Agreement (LSA) provides the terms and conditions under which you can license and use software through the Education Community. 

Terms of Service

A360 services and other web services from Autodesk that you access through a computer, mobile device or other mechanism are offered under a terms of service (or terms of use or services) agreement. 

The conditions that apply to a particular service may vary, so be sure to review the particular terms that accompany each service.  These terms are in addition to any terms applicable to your use of any Autodesk software associated with a service and are in addition to the terms of use for Autodesk Subscription, autodesk.com, and other websites.

Education Usage

For Educational Purposes Only

Software and cloud-based services subject to an Educational license of entitlement may be used solely for purposes directly related to learning, training, research or development. The software and cloud-based services cannot be used for commercial, professional or any other for-profit purposes.

  • Students and Educators: Individual Licenses —For free access to Autodesk software on the student's personal computer or device in class, each student needs to obtain his or her own license from the Education Community.

    Students must be 13 or older to use Education Community.

  • Educational Institutions: License for Classrooms or Labs —Educational institutions can obtain free* educational software licenses that can be installed for multiple users.

Eligible members of the Education Community can access a variety of web services, including Autodesk 360 Rendering and Fusion 360. These products can be used on both personal and lab computers and devices in combination with your corresponding Education Community account login credentials. Remember that students must be age 13 or older to Use Education Community.
