When trying to install Revit, the setup.exe will not run.
The error is that the Operating System is Unsupported.

Revit requires Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

To solve this problem, you need to run Windows Update and install Windows 7 Service Pack 1.
This is noted in the System requirements for Autodesk Revit products
