Slow, jumpy cursor in AutoCAD 2022 with DirectX 12

Issue:

The cursor is slow, jumpy, or jerky while working in AutoCAD 2022 and AutoCAD 2022-based toolsets in combination with DirectX 12.
  • It might look like the cursor is slipping, or it has a delay relative to the expected position.
  • The screen might look like it flickers when objects are selected.

Solution:

Try the following in order, testing the performance after each:

Install latest updates for AutoCAD

Install the 2022.1 update or later for AutoCAD. See Install Updates, Add-ons, and Enhancements.

Note: to check the installed update, enter ABOUT on the command line in AutoCAD.

Run AutoCAD under DirectX 11
