How to reset DWG TrueView to defaults

Issue:

You would like to know how to reset DWG TrueView to defaults.

Solution:

For DWG TrueView 2024 and earlier, uninstall and reinstall the application. 

For DWG TrueView 2025 and newer:
  1. Exit out of DWG TrueView.

  2. Delete the following folders:

    For Windows 10 and newer:

    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 202x
    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 202x

    Note: These paths contain hidden folders (see How to enable hidden files and folders).
  3. Press WINDOWS-R on the keyboard to bring up the Run window, enter REGEDIT and click OK.

  4. Delete the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\DWG TrueView
  5. Restart DWG TrueView to have it rebuild its settings files.
